This is my final year project at Staffordshire University. The project exists as a solution to a problem created by the meteoric rise of GPS-based games in the past decade - resources and gameplay in these games often end up tied to monuments and rely heavily on physical location. As a result, many players end up being excluded due to where they live or get encouraged to drive to the ideal location. This project looks back at pedometer-based games which are more accessible and aims to remain lightweight on performance to allow for many users.
